WhatsApp link generator

A WhatsApp link is the address that opens a chat with your number. A customer taps it on an Instagram bio, a product page or a post, and WhatsApp opens with the message you wrote. They do not have to save the number first.

The address is https://wa.me/ followed by the digits only, with no spaces and no plus sign. A ready message is added as ?text= plus the encoded sentence. Example: https://wa.me/355691234567?text=Hello

The default country is Albania, +355. A local number that starts with 06, with or without the zero, becomes +355. A Kosovo local number that starts with 04, eight or nine digits, becomes +383. North Macedonia is the +389 button, or you type the plus yourself.

The country buttons set the prefix. Then type the rest of the number. If you already have +355, +383 or +389, leave it as it is. The form drops spaces, dashes and brackets.

The ready message is optional. One short sentence helps: the product name, the size, or the question you expect. Avoid wording that reads like a cold advert. The customer sees the text before sending it and can change it.

The link is built in your browser. The number and the message are not sent to the chatstaff server. There is no account, no storage and no email. Copy puts the address on the clipboard. Try it opens WhatsApp in a new tab so you can see what the customer sees.

Where to put it. On Instagram, the bio link is the first place. On the shop page, put it on every product that needs a question before a purchase. On Facebook, use it as the page button. On a story, use it as a link sticker. On a parcel, print it next to the shop name.

What to skip. Do not leave the number as plain text, because some apps will not make it tappable. Do not hide the destination behind a shortener, because the customer cannot see where it goes. Do not put prices or promises you cannot keep, because the ready message reads as the shop speaking.

Check it. Open the link from your own phone and from a colleague's phone. If WhatsApp says the number is not on WhatsApp, check the prefix. An Albanian 06 left as a Kosovo 04 opens the wrong number. A forgotten +389 sends the chat to Albania.

Language. If customers write in Albanian, keep the message in Albanian. If you also have customers who write in English, make two links and place them side by side with clear labels. Do not mix both into one long message.

Hours. The link does not say whether you are open. If staff reply during shop hours, write the hours on the page where the link sits, not inside the ready message. The message should stay one sentence the customer sends.

The customer's privacy. You publish your business number, not the customer's number. The customer starts the chat. Do not collect their number on this page. This tool does not store it and does not send it.

When you move to chatstaff. The link opens the chat. The reply stays on a staff phone until you connect the number to the dashboard. Then the same number is answered by the team, with the catalogue and with orders prepared for approval. The link tool is still useful after that, for bios and posts.

Changes. If you change the number, generate the link again and replace the old one everywhere you placed it. The old link keeps opening the old number. WhatsApp does not redirect it.

Limits. The ready message stays short, up to three hundred characters on this page, so it fits one screen. The number must be ten to fifteen digits, which is what WhatsApp accepts. If the form shows an error, the number is empty, it contains letters, or the length is wrong.

Print and share. Copy the link into a page button, a QR code, or an email signature. For the QR code use the other page of this tool, which draws the code in the browser and downloads PNG or SVG, again without sending the number.
