WhatsApp QR code
A QR code is the same WhatsApp link, drawn so it can be scanned. The customer opens the camera, taps the prompt, and the chat opens with your message. Use it on a shop window, a parcel, a menu and a poster where a long address does not fit.
The code is drawn on this page, in your browser. The number is not sent to the server. No photo is uploaded and no file is stored with us. The PNG and SVG downloads happen on your computer.
Start with the number. The default is Albania +355. The Kosovo button sets +383 and the North Macedonia button sets +389. The rules match the link generator: 06 becomes +355, a local 04 becomes +383, and a number that already has a plus stays as it is.
The ready message is part of the code, together with the number. If you change the text, the code changes. Always scan after you finish the text, not before. A code printed with old text opens the old message.
PNG is for screens and social posts. SVG is for the print shop, because it stays sharp when you enlarge it. Choose SVG for a poster and a parcel label. Choose PNG when you paste it into a story or a slideshow.
Size. On a poster the code should be readable from an arm's length. Leave a white frame around it. Do not place it on a busy photo. Dark ink on white is what the camera reads most easily. The code on this page is drawn dark on white.
Test it. Download, open the picture, and scan it with a second phone. It should open the same link you see as text above the form. If the phone cannot read it, enlarge the code or add more white space. If it opens the wrong number, check the prefix before you print.
Where to put it in the shop. On the door, at eye height. At the counter, next to the till. Inside the parcel, on a small card with the shop name. On the menu, at the bottom of the page. At an event, on a table stand. One code for the business number is enough. Do not print a code per product when the message is the same.
When the message changes. A printed code does not update itself. If the campaign changes, print a new code. The old code keeps working with the old text, because the text is inside the code, not on a page you can edit later.
What to skip. Do not photograph a colleague's screen and reuse the picture without testing. Do not stick a personal number's code on the door if the business has another number. Do not cover the middle with a logo, because some cameras will not read it. This drawing has no logo in the middle, so it stays readable.
The link page. If you already built the link on the other page, you can enter the same number and the same message here. The result is the same wa.me address. The code is only another way to open that address.
Privacy. A scan takes the customer to WhatsApp, to your number. chatstaff does not see the scan and does not store the number. If you later connect the number to the dashboard, chats that start from the code arrive there like any other chat on that number.
Home printing. A PNG on an ordinary printer is enough for a table card. For a banner, give the print shop the SVG file. Ask them not to compress it hard and to keep the white frame.
Common mistakes. A doubled zero after the prefix. A message so long the customer cannot see all of it. A code placed in a dark corner. A laminated label that reflects so the camera cannot read it. Test in the light where the code will sit.
Replacing it. When you change the WhatsApp number, generate the code again and take the old one off the door and the parcels. An old code in circulation opens the old number for months.
Next step. The code starts the chat. The reply, the catalogue and the prepared order are the team's work in the dashboard, once the number is connected. Until then, the code is the shortest way to send a customer to the person who answers.
